Description: Lava cloth applies a unique textured finish to the back side of glass. Lava cloth is non carcinogenic and lasts through many firings (up to 12 in tests at approx. 1485 degree F before the cloth starts to break down.). Your actual use will depend on time, temperature, etc. Rated to 1800F. No kiln wash needed. Lava cloth shrinks approximately 5% when first firing. Pre-firing recommended. Pre-fire at 500 degrees F/hour up to 1400 degrees F hold for 10 minutes and then switch off and let cool.
